Frustration in Multiplayer: The RageQuit
Multiplayer games are a different ype of animal then single player – and it is not simply because you’re playing with others. If you immediately went there, I’m insulted. No, the ‘other people’ thing isn’t the primary reason they are different. It’s not the increased difficulty either; brilliant AI will someday close that gap. No, the reason they are different is simply the randomness of the experience itself. (more…)
You know what is fantastic?
A good cup of coffee (Blue Bottle, as of late) and a great book. I’m re-reading Groundswell, the book to come out of Forrestor about how to manage web marketing and PR. It’s brilliant, and should be a must-read for anyone out there.
Slowly creating new bits for my blog
As you can see, the blog has – yet again – another look to it. Be expecting tons of changes in the coming weeks. The previous design was complained at by many, so I’ve moved it up. Now that I have the basic functionality of a ‘lifestream’ that I wanted, I’ve found a format that makes me quite happy. (more…)
