I’ve been reading a great deal of Raymond Smullyans work in my life, most recently his earlier 5000 B.C., a compendium of thoughts (as most of his books are). For those unfamiliar, Professor Smullyan is one of the better writers regarding logic, math, and Taoist philosophy. Yes, it seems this famous logician tends towards the more whimsical of beliefs. It’s quite fascinating to read, and I highly recommend all of his books. Especially the Tao is Silent, the book I’m riffing off of tonight. (more…)
