Since the creation of the game Left4Dead, I’ve found myself wandering hallways and buildings and areas, constantly thinking about where I would hie or sit to defend myself int he case of a zombie attack. Just like you do, I’m sure. Naturaly, where I work moved to the forefront o my mind. It’s a beautiful area, and the buildings are fantastic in the event of a zombie attack. (more…)

Today I probably spent more money then I should have. The check for 6 months of royalties on the my book came in, and the $312 bucks was burning a hole in my pocket. After some deliberation, I purchased the Settlers of Catan collectors edition. It’s beautiful, and Megs and I have already played it through. The 3D characters, cities, roads, and lands masses are amazing visually, and definitely help with the game.

On the digital front, however, my purchase was meant to replace a broken set of headphones. So I bought the Logitech G35′s. They’re amazing headphones, and the 7.1 really changes how you play the games you’re in. Not to mention the customizable buttons and on the fly gain adjustments. It’s great.

With all the terrible things I do to my Windows installations – from  freeware fun to hacking games with mods – I tend to quickly destroy any registry I come across. I’ve gotten used to installing windows every few months just to keep it clean and bug free, but recently I ran into a new problem.

It seems that my 500 gig backup drive which houses my previous Windows installation as well as all my video and audio files felt like it wouldn’t let me delete the Windows directory. I needed the 80 some gigs from the folder, and it infuriated me.

Luckily, a simple registry hack let me gain control the files and delete them at my whim. Below is the post, and I suggest you add it – especially if you find yourself with the wrong permission sets on more then one occasion.
